Clang x FOST Gallery

I am very happy to announce that FOST Gallery is now representing me. Stephanie Fong of FOST Gallery is one gallerist whom I have very high regard for. Her support for Singaporean artists, since the inception of her gallery, is highly commendable.

Many thanks to Gwen Lee at 2902 Gallery for our collaboration over the last few years. Gwen’s vision of the photography culture in Singapore is something I admire dearly and I will continue my support for her as an advisor at DECK.

Venue: National Museum of Singapore
Address: 93 Stamford Road, Singapore 178897

The Land of My Heart is a new series of work by visual artist John Clang, resembling picture postcards addressed to Singapore ahead of her 50th birthday. By re-appropriating the icon of the Singapore Girl, he contemplates on vestiges of identity and personal memories encapsulated in nostalgic spaces of a rapidly evolving motherland, after having based his practice abroad for close to 16 years. Travel with Clang on his emotional journey and own a unique piece of his memory.

Book signing session included.
